Who We Are

The World of Faith ministries is an Apostolic Pentecostal church that enjoys glorifying God through authentic, heartfelt worship and the proclamation of His Word. Our desire is to provide a place for people to come to know and experience Jesus Christ personally in the power of the Holy Spirit. 

Our Vision is to be an apostolic church in principle, practice and power.

Our Mission is to touch those within our reach and to reach those beyond our touch with the truth of God’s Word.

We strive to evangelize and equip people with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in Spirit and Truth, for the glory of God.

Our congregation is composed of people of various races, nationalities, ages, and social backgrounds. Although, different in many ways we are united by a common experience - the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

We believe God loves everyone and everyone is therefore important. You matter to us because you matter to God.

A brief history:
Rev. William E. Davis Jr. founded Calvary Tabernacle in early 1972. He along with his wife, Greta, their six month old son and a handful of other family members began holding services in a funeral home in Macon, GA.

In April of that same year property was purchased on Bloomfield Road. It was a heavily wooded area with a small broken down house. The house was remodeled and served as a worship facility until a sanctuary was built in 1973.

In 1979 the name was changed to The World of Faith Ministries. After 33 years and three building programs, The World of Faith relocated to its present site on Hartley Bridge Road.

In the Spring 2008, the church plans to break ground for its new worship facility, a 500+ seat sanctuary.
